The third place in the standings is for the Armenian top player GM Samvel Ter-Sahakyan. He scored a full point against IM Conrad Holt and is the only player with 8,5/11, half a point behind the leaders.

At shared fourth position with 8,0/11 are the rating favorite of the tournament GM Ding Liren and his compatriot GM Yu Yangyi, who made a draw in their direct encounter today. With the same points is GM Aleksandr Shimanov after winning the “Russian derby” against IM Antipov, as well as the top board of the day GM Nils Grandelius and the 13 year old prodigy Wei Yi.
